Psychologische Grundlagen der Gerontologie

This book provides an overview of the psychological foundations of gerontology and explains the psychology of ageing from a lifespan point of view. It represents a compendium on gerontopsychology and is used for basic reading in many study courses and training courses in the social sciences, health sciences, and nursing studies, as well as in developmental psychology. This new edition has been fully updated and expanded to include important topics such as emotional regulation, neuroscientific ageing research and plasticity research, as well as participatory ageing research.



Prof. Mike Martin is Professor of Gerontology and Gerontopsychology at the University of Zurich, Director of the Centre for Gerontology and Executive Director of the University Research Focus Group (UFSP) on ?Dynamics of Healthy Ageing= and of the ?International Normal Ageing and Plasticity Imaging Centres= (INAPIC) at the University of Zurich.

Prof. Matthias Kliegel is Professor of Psychology at the University of Geneva.
