Philosophische Pädagogik

Does the theoretician only solve problems that he himself invents and seek answers to questions nobody asks? In spite of such prejudices, students of pedagogy have to be introduced to the theoretical basics of their field of study. The work goes further into detail than other introductory works and commits itself to describing general prerequisites organised in the chapters: theory, epistemology, ontology, philosophy of science, methodology, philosophy of language, logics, ethics and anthropology. This rehabilitated classical philosophical understanding is applied to pedagogic thinking.

The book does not require specific knowledge but the willingness to conceptual thinking. The reader is rewarded with insights on surprising interrelations.
