He called himself Anything, the stranger dressed all in brown, when he strolled into Carlsburg. The farming community had never seen anything like him before. He would do anything—any job, no matter how simple or complex—for a meal and a place to stay. And there seemed to be nothing he couldn't do better, faster, and cheaper than any man in town.
