Japanese ceramics: From Raku to Kutani

Ich bin in Deutschland geboren und aufgewachsen. doch schon in jungen Jahren entdeckte ich mein Interesse und meine Leidenschaft für Japan, zunächst durch Filme und Literatur. Nach Abschluss meiner Ausbildung unternahm ich erste Reisen. Ich war zunehmend beeindruckt von der Schönheit der japanischen Natur und der Gastfreundschaft der Menschen. Meine Begeisterung und Liebe für das Land mit einer langen kulturellen Tradition, seinen Widersprüchen und Ritualen, die noch immer das Leben in vielen Bereichen mitbestimmen, hält bis heute an.



In meinen Büchern möchte ich Ihnen meine Bewunderung und Liebe für Japan ans Herz legen. Gleichzeitig versuche ich, eine Brücke zwischen unseren beiden Kulturen zu schlagen. Mein Ziel ist es, Verständnis und Wertschätzung für die japanische Kultur zu fördern. Wenn mir das bei Ihnen, liebe Leserin, lieber Leser, gelungen sein sollte, hätte ich mir einen Wunsch erfüllt und möglicherweise ihr Interesse für weitere Themen dieses Land betreffend durch meine Büchern geweckt.

I was born and raised in Germany, but I discovered my interest and passion for Japan at a young age, initially through movies and literature. After completing my education, I went on my first trips. I was increasingly impressed by the beauty of Japanese nature and the hospitality of the people. My enthusiasm and love for the country with its long cultural tradition, its contradictions and rituals, which still influence life in many areas, continues to this day.



In my books, I would like to share my admiration and love for Japan with you. At the same time, I try to build a bridge between our two cultures. My aim is to promote understanding and appreciation of Japanese culture. If I have succeeded in doing this with you, dear reader, I will have fulfilled a wish and possibly aroused your interest in other topics relating to this country through my books.
