China's Self-Conception and the Security Environment in East Asia

Der wirtschaftliche, technologische, politische, wissenschaftliche und militärische Aufstieg Chinas hat erhebliche Auswirkungen sowohl auf das internationale System als auch auf die regionale Konstellation in Ostasien. Die Volksrepublik selbst versteht diese Entwicklung als Wiederaufstieg, als Rückkehr in eine führende globale Position. In dieser Studie wird sowohl dieser Prozess reflektiert als auch die Frage diskutiert, mit welchen Konzepten und Strategien das internationale Umfeld künftig auf Chinas erstarktes Selbstbewusstsein reagieren könnte.
