When she enters her yoga studio, Rupert's former secretary begs for her help to force Rupert to pay the percentage of his sales that he owes her. Tera is eager to assist her, but when she arrives at Rupert's house, she has to break up a scuffle between Rupert and the current owner of her mother's home. The following morning, Tera's detective husband is called to investigate a suspicious death, and the victim is Rupert Maynard! Worried that she could be considered a suspect herself, Tera makes a panicked prayer that is granted; her mother's ghost comes to the rescue! However, there is one serious complication: Rupert Maynard's ghost arrives as well!



Leslie O'Kane has written 28 novels in which at least one crime takes place. Many years ago, she was taken hostage in a robbery by an irate customer afterhours at the bar where she was head waitress. Leslie's first thought was: "This guy is taking missing last call way too seriously." That made her laugh, which in turn made the robber strike her with his shotgun. The experience taught her that writing about crimes is much more fun than taking part in them. She lives in Boulder, Colorado, with her husband and their Cocker Spaniel.
