Simon Armitage was born in West Yorkshire and is Professor of Poetry at the University of Leeds. Simon Armitage is Poet Laureate.





Rachel Bower is a poet and novelist based in Sheffield. Her works include a debut novel, It Comes from the River (Bloomsbury, 2025), and three poetry collections, most recently Bee (Hazel Press, 2025).
