Carmen Nasr's stage adaptation of Babak Anvari's BAFTA-winning horror film is set amid the 1980s Iran-Iraq War, exploring the boundary between the rational and the irrational, and the question of whether to leave or stay. Under the Shadow is premiered at the Almeida Theatre, London, in 2026.
