Kazuo Ishiguro was born in Nagasaki, Japan, in 1954 and moved to Britain at the age of five. Ishiguro's screenplay for Living received Academy Award and BAFTA nominations in 2022. Film adaptations of his novels include The Remains of the Day, Never Let Me Go, A Pale View of Hills and the forthcoming Klara and the Sun.
