'Tales of wonder – Tor is one of my favourite artists' Axel Scheffler

Pomona lives in a little house in the forest, near her friends Ratso, Prince Frog, Elfis and Grandma Wyona. In this funny and charming collection of stories, she learns how to bake a cake with love, finds a friend for her lonely pet caterpillar, discovers empathy and confirms that there definitely isn't enough room for anyone else in her hammock!



Tor Freeman was born and educated in London, and graduated from Kingston University with a BA in Illustration in 1999. Tor has been working as a freelance illustrator, author and comics-maker ever since.





She was awarded a Sendak Fellowship in 2012, and was the winner of the Observer/Cape/Comica Graphic Short Story prize in 2017. Tor has illustrated several picture books and young chapter books, written her own stories and been published in the UK and internationally. She is a regular contributor to magazines and had two ongoing strips in the weekly story comic, The Phoenix. Tor lives and works in London.
