Tuned In
Reset Your Mind, Reset Your Life
What if the greatest source of your suffering isn't your life, but the voice inside your head narrating it?
Most of us live at the mercy of an inner narrator that never stops talking—replaying the past, rehearsing worst-case futures, and pulling us out of the only moment we ever actually have. In Tuned In, author and researcher Aiden Santosa blends cutting-edge psychology, neuroscience, and timeless contemplative wisdom to reveal a simple but profound truth: you are not the voice in your head—you are the awareness that hears it.
Drawing on landmark research, real case studies, and hard-won personal experience, Tuned In shows how learning to notice, rather than obey, your thoughts can loosen anxiety's grip, heal old wounds, and return you to a life that's actually happening right now.
Inside, you'll discover:
- How to recognize and quiet the relentless inner narrator that drains your happiness
- Why mental time travel into regret and worry steals your present—and how to come back
- Simple practices for reconnecting with your body and breath to calm the nervous system
- How old emotional wounds secretly drive your reactions, and how to break free
- The difference between healthy growth and compulsive self-improvement
- Field-tested micro-practices for presence that fit into a busy, distracted modern life
Stop living in your head. Start living your life—one conscious breath at a time.
Aiden Santosa is an author and researcher who came of age between two worlds—Western science and Eastern spiritual tradition. Born in Bali to an American physician father and a Balinese mother, he absorbed from an early age both a rational view of the human being and a fascination with the inner energies and rhythms of life. After studying psychology in New Zealand, Santosa worked as a practicing psychologist and lecturer in cognitive science. Following a period of burnout, anxiety, and a near-death experience during a surfing accident, he returned to Bali, where a personal crisis became the turning point of his life. He has since devoted two decades to studying psychology, neuropsychology, the subconscious, and meditative practice—work that forms the foundation of his writing on consciousness, presence, and the mind.
