Recent Status of Research and Development of Energy Storage in China
Following a brief summary of the urgent reasons for the shift to sustainable energy sources, electrochemical options for conversion and storage are presented. Next a brief overview of general developments in science and technologies, our contributions towards 3G gel separators, 4G nonporous separators, hybrid capacitors and aqueous rechargeable batteries as our main fields of research interest are described. Finally, the current status of commercial activities related to electrochemical energy storage in China is shorty addressed.
