Jazmine Linklater's eviscerating debut collection is an investigation into perception, perspective and looking. In an era of mediated viewing, Your Accurate Depiction both reclaims and skewers ideas of authenticity and truth.





Acts of witness are complicated by modes of ekphrasis, and the idea of loving is refracted, made prismatic; relationships are taken apart by the interrogation of perspectives, as we linger in 'the white space round stage directions'. Calling to mind the textual acrobatics of John Ashbery and the lucid insights of Denise Riley, this collection is as gripping in its storytelling as it is ethically poised towards the hypocrisies and technologies of today.



Jazmine Linklater is a poet and writer based in Manchester where she is a regional editor for the online art writing platform Corridor8. She has published four poetry chapbooks, including Snagged on red thread (2025) and Figure a Motion (2020).
