When an unassuming American teacher accepts an invitation after a chance meeting in a local bar, he enters the secluded world of Yoshi, a enigmatic host who demands total submission. Stripped of his clothes, his speech, and his masculine defenses, he agrees to one uncompromising rule: never say no.

What begins as a shadowy game of control quickly devolves into an intense, surreal transformation. Tasked with serving Yoshi's wealthy associates as a traditional, white-skinned male geisha, he finds himself swept into a storm of escalating physical alterations, psychological undoing, and dangerous corporate favors.

As his boundaries blur and the line between submission and self-erasure vanishes, he must ask himself: is he yielding to Yoshi out of love, fear, or a deeper need to escape who he used to be?



David Lohrey was raised in Memphis and educated UC Berkeley. His one act plays appeared at Johns Hopkins, Susquehanna, and Arizona State University. He was produced by ArtGroup and TRU in NYC. He has appeared at the Producer's Club on 44th Street and at Theatre Studio, Inc., in NYC. His first poetry collection was published in 2017. David saw his second collection published by Terror House Press in 2021. He is a member of the Dramatists Guild of America; his work is registered with the WGAW Registry.
