Kerby A. Miller is Curators Professor Emeritus at the University of Missouri, Honorary Professor of History at the University of Galway and Scholar in Residence at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia. He specialises in the history of modern Ireland and Irish emigration. Among his several books is the Pulitzer finalist Emigrants and Exiles: Ireland and the Irish Exodus to North America (1985).



Breandán Mac Suibhne is the author of the award-winning The End of Outrage: Post-Famine Adjustment in Rural Ireland (2017), which details sordid happenings in a small community in the time of the Famine. He is Established Professor of Modern Irish History at the University of Galway.
