Steve McLellan was born in southern Ontario, Canada, where he grew up like any other kid. He played all the local youth sports, but his talent never matched his enthusiasm. He gravitated to the library, where he realised his passion for reading.

After retiring in June 2016 after a 30-year career as a senior transit manager, he took up studies at York University, Toronto. Steve graduated in June 2024 with his B.A. in History, which included extensive undergraduate studies in writing (processes and practices). Steve did not rest on his laurels as he wrote his first book of a suspense thriller trilogy, In Spirits Shadow, which was released by Austin Macauley Publishers on December 5, 2025.

Steve is excited about the release of his second book of the trilogy, Spirits Challenge. He is thankful for all the help and support of family, friends, colleagues and Austin Macauley Publishers.

Steve McLellan lives with his wife and Standard Schnauzer in the beautiful Niagara Region, where he finds endless inspiration to make ‘Unbelievable Stories...Believable’.
