For Lujza, the daughter of a wealthy landowner from the Southern Regions, the voice of her heart and her family's expectations clash at an early age: her love for a young man of lower rank changes her life forever. Fate carries her to the glittering palaces of Vienna and the balls of the imperial court, where the dark shadows of the past—the hushed-up sin of a tragic suicide that occurred on a wedding day—still haunt the walls.

This monumental saga is not merely a family chronicle, but a testament to the inseparable intertwining of Hungarian and Austrian destinies. Amid the storms of war, forced emigration, and journeys home that span national borders, the characters must confront the ancient "sin of seven generations." Will the children of the modern age be able to break the curse once and for all and start anew toward the future?
