On her 55th birthday, Anneliese takes a risk she never thought she'd dare: She quits her secure job at a bookstore in Stuttgart—a place that has shaped her life since her apprenticeship. As if this step weren't challenging enough, her late grandmother suddenly reaches out from the afterlife. With wisdom, humor, and a healthy dose of pragmatism, she stands by her granddaughter's side. Anneliese's love life is also in flux: two men make her heart race and present her with a difficult decision. Fortunately, her best friend Ingrid is always by her side. A heartwarming story about how it's never too late to give your own happiness another chance.
