In his work as a journalist, Tim Hall has written for various national newspapers and magazines. Most recently he spent two years in Bermuda, reporting for the Bermuda Sun. He has travelled widely in other parts of the world, including Asia and South America. He now lives in Gloucestershire with his wife and their daughter. He was born in Portishead, near Bristol, in 1977.His first novel, Shadow of the Wolf, is the beginning of a planned trilogy. Of the inspiration behind Shadow of the Wolf, Tim says: 'Several years ago, I ventured into the Amazon Rainforest. It was in that awesome, primal place that I first began reimagining Sherwood, and picturing the elemental outlaw who haunted its depths. An original, savage, powerful and incredibly moving story. [Hall] captures the harshness and darkness of the ancient woodland so vividly, it is like the author himself has slid back in time. Robin and Marian are like you have never seen, and I am sure this novel will grip anyone who reads it, as it thoroughly gripped me



My favourite YA book of 2014 (so far and I can't imagine anyone topping it). I thought this was going to be a YA fantasy book but I'm not sure what it is, which is why I love it. Beautiful writing, a stunning mix of action and mystical folklore. A brilliant story
