'A must-read for girls aged 10 and up, this has the Jacqueline Wilson touch' Evening Echo

Judi Curtin is Ireland's favourite children's writer. She is the best-selling author of the 'Alice and Megan' series which has sold rights to Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Poland, Lithuania and Serbia. In Ireland, the series has sold over 100,000 copies. She is also the author of the smash-hit Eva series: Eva's Journey, Eva's Holiday, Leave it to Eva, and Eva and theHidden Diary, which has sold 36,000 copies (to date). She has been nominated for Irish Book Awards on numerous occasions.

'The second Alice title builds on the strength of its predecessor. A story of the ups and downs of early-teen friendship and a dysfunctional family in the Jacqueline Wilson genre'

'A must-read for girls aged 10 and up, this has the Jacqueline Wilson touch, Irish-style. The best friends element is expertly portrayed, while the lows as well as the highs of the girls' relationship are revealed. Another triumph . . . this is the modern, fast-moving and un-putdownable sequel to Alice Next Door.'

'Portrays vividly that friend many will recognise: funny, smart and able to push you farther than you know you should go . . . rings beautifully true'

'An excellent book to have in the library as it portrays life outside the traditional family setting, and also just to give 10 to 12 year olds the pure enjoyment of reading a good story.'

'I think this is an amazing book. Everyone should read it'
