In Germany about 54 Million people suffer from headaches. Due to improved pathophysiologic knowledge, diagnostic and therapy have largely differentiated. This book is a practice oriented guide, aiming at presenting the practitioning doctor with an overview of the multitude of headaches: clinic, epidemiology, pathophysiology and therapy of the most important primary and secondary headache syndromes are clearly structured including suggestions on possible pitfalls. Prof. Dr. Straube and PD Dr. Förderreuther are senior physicians at the neurological clinic of the university of Munich. Professor Straube is head of the Upper Bavarian centre for headaches.
